Bowl Thyme, located at 4855 Liberty Ave. in Vermillion, serves unique, homemade dishes served in a variety of bowls for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Located in the same location as their previous restaurant, 3B’s, co-owner Jeremy Crawford and business partner Joe Jesko said they continue to renovate and upgrade the bowl-themed restaurant.
Serving breakfast all day, Bowl Thyme offers a menu of pre-made bowls, such as barbecue mac and cheese with pulled pork, as well as creative bowls with the option to build your own.

“It’s a bowl, it’s a vessel, but there’s so much you can do with a bowl,” Crawford says. “It’s a unique concept, and I feel like it’s really starting to get attention.”
“There really is something on the menu for everyone.”
Crawford said he thinks about price for customers, Bowl Time is taking a more health-conscious approach to fast food, and the average wait time for each meal is eight minutes.
Customers can order through the convenient drive-thru or dine in our comfortable, modern dining room that can accommodate large groups.
“Our motto is to offer fast food in a healthier, faster, and more casual atmosphere,” Crawford said. “Based on trends, people are becoming more health-conscious and don’t mind waiting.”
Crawford said each bowl starts with a base such as mashed potatoes, rice, pasta or lettuce, and then each bowl gets its own unique toppings added.
Customers can choose a protein, five toppings, and one sauce.
Crawford said the “build your own” option is perfect for people who want complete customization to enjoy their meal, choosing from a variety of toppings, proteins and sauces.
“You can fill your own bowl with whatever you want and pick and choose what you want,” he said.
Crawford said Bowl Time will also have a variety of sweet options, including cinnamon monkey bread, oatmeal, smoothies and yogurt bowls, as well as snacks, such as dipping “bites” with meats, toppings and other ingredients.
Everything is made in-house and every order is made fresh, he said.
Since opening Bowl Time in late 2021, Crawford said he and Jesko, with the help of their tenacious staff, have been constantly adapting, changing and upgrading the restaurant to meet customer needs.
“Without our staff, we couldn’t have done anything,” Crawford said.
He said Bowl Time’s transformation has garnered support from people in the Vermillion community as well as neighboring towns, and has boosted the business’ overall reputation.

“I can’t thank them enough, not only for the support of the town, but also because our team has been so amazing,” Crawford said.
