Supporting Hamilton County food pantries and summer lunch programs
Submitted
On Saturday, June 1st, we had a full cruiser!
Thank you to the people of Hamilton County for helping provide over 18,950 meals to Summer Lunch Programs throughout Hamilton County. Nine Kroger stores and six police and sheriff’s offices partnered with the Summer Lunch Program to provide children with much-needed food. This is Pack the Cruiser’s seventh year, and a total of 19,640 pounds and $6,271 were donated.
We’d like to thank the Kroger store employees, police officers and program volunteers who helped with this effort. We’d also like to thank our summer lunch program providers for their huge effort each summer.

Saturday, May 11th was the 32nd Annual End Hunger Food Drive hosted by the National Association of Letter Carriers.
More than 54,010 pounds of food was donated by our generous community across the cities of Noblesville, Fishers, Westfield and Carmel, equating to 45,008 meals, and coming at a time when much of the food is being purchased by food pantries and food banks to meet demand.
Thank you to everyone who donated to the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Thank you to NALC Union 888 and the postal workers who collected and delivered all the donated food. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped fold bags on the day of the food drive and helped unload and load all the donated food.
