The 2024 Paris Olympics will be held on the Seine, but for the first time in Olympic history, the opening ceremony will take place outside the stadium, in the city center.

The Sultans of the Nets did not attend the Olympic opening ceremony. This decision was taken by head coach Daniele Santarelli. The Sultans of the Nets chose to rest before their first match against the Netherlands on Monday at 10 a.m. On the other hand, heavy rain fell during the ceremony, affecting all the players.

Staff changes
Tugba Şenor, who was included in the Sultans of the Net’s initial Olympic squad, was dropped from the team. Ilkin Aydın was included in the Sultans of the Net’s 12+1 squad announced for the 2024 Paris Olympics, replacing Tugba Şenor.
ZEHRA GÜNEŞ was selected to the +1 team
Zehera missed the final weeks of the Nations League due to injury, but was included in the Olympic squad. Changes were made to the +1 squad ahead of the match against the Netherlands, with Beiza Arju moving to the main squad and Zehra Gunes joining the reserves. Zehera could return to the squad for the second half of the tournament.
Turkiye was the first country to use reserve players on the women’s team, a change that required approval from officials. Once approved, 13 athletes, including Beyza Alic, will receive medals if they win.

Tugba Shenour was removed from the women’s national volleyball team for the 2024 Paris Olympics just before the season began. The first post on the matter came from Shenour’s father.
Tughba Shenour’s father, Hasan Shenour, reshared the post that the user had posted on his own Facebook account, tagging his daughter on his profile.
“How can the team be decided like this…. It’s really embarrassing… And how can a women’s team do that? We have become the world’s tools before the match even begins.” The changes in the team have once again brought to the fore the following words of the Italian head coach in an interview published during the Nations League: “First of all, I want to be a good person, then I want to be a good coach. I think that is not the right to call up a player and then send him home a week later. It’s like saying: “We need you now, we don’t need you anymore.”
Statement from TUĞBA Management Company
Tugaba’s management company, Shining Stars Women, made some suggestive posts after the player was kicked out of the national team. First, the company shared the 216th match of Sula Bakara, saying: “You don’t know, only God knows,” he said, adding, “Let’s wait until the Olympics are over. That’s all for now,” he wrote.
