Mix and match: Pack clothes that can be easily mixed and matched. Use stylish hats, belts and other accessories to enhance your look. Plan ahead: Choose your wardrobe based on the destinations you will be visiting.

My travel first aid kit always includes an inhaler and painkillers for altitude changes.

Yes, when I got food poisoning in Bali, I had to use the first aid kit to get medicine.

What are your must-have items for comfort on a long flight?
Noise-canceling headphones and earplugs are essential for a good night’s sleep.
Do you have any tips for staying refreshed and rested during a long-haul flight?
We recommend using a moisturizing face spray with natural ingredients and a hand lotion with relaxing oils.

What are your favorite language apps or tools for connecting with locals in a new country?
My favorite language app is the “translate” app on my company-issued iPad, and I also like to research the language and tourist attractions of my destination in advance.
How do you address communication barriers with passengers who speak different languages?
Cabin crew represent more than 140 nationalities, and there is usually someone who speaks the language of the particular route and can assist with translation.

Do you have any hairstyle or skincare tips that will hold up on long trips?
My advice is to use Ghanaian shea butter to hydrate your skin before flying.

I keep my cool by looking at every situation as an opportunity for growth, maintaining a positive attitude, and being open to new challenges.

I was proud to represent Ghana aboard historic EK 787 flight when the Emirates A380 landed in Accra on 2 October 2018. I was extremely proud of my roots.

Regardless of gender, being an Emirates flight attendant is an eye-opening job and the iconic uniform brings out the elegance in you.
