Trabzonspor Club has signed the 23-year-old Portuguese player Pedro Jorge Goncalves Mareiro on a four-year + one-year contract.
The statement sent by Trabzonspor Sportiv Yatürm ve Futbol İşretMeşlik Tikaret Aş to Borsa Istanbul and also published on the Public Information Platform (KAP) used the following statement:
“A contract has been reached with the professional footballer Pedro Jorge Gonçalves Malheiro for 4 years + 1 year, with an option to remain with the Club. According to the agreement, the footballer will receive a guaranteed fee of 830,000 euros in 2024, 830,000 euros for the 2025 football season, 830,000 euros for the 2025-2026 football season, 830,000 euros for the 2026-2027 football season, 882,000 euros for the 2027-2028 football season and, if the Club exercises the option, a guaranteed fee of 986,000 euros for the 2028-2029 football season.”
The statement also noted that 4.8 percent of the total wages paid to footballers goes as management service fee.
Meanwhile, a separate statement from KAP said that an agreement had been reached with Boavista for Malheiro’s permanent transfer to the Claret Blue club, stating, “According to the agreement, 2 million euros will be paid to Boavista.” It also said that “Boavista FC will pay the release fee in three installments” and that “10% of the transfer fee will be paid if the player transfers to another club.”
The signing ceremony was held
According to a club statement, the signing ceremony with Malheiro took place at Mehmet Ali Yilmaz Facilities in the presence of vice-president Yahya Karahasan.
“We expect a good performance from him.”
Karahasan wished Pedro Malheiro the best of luck for the team, saying, “I hope he lives up to our expectations and I hope he lives up to our expectations. We will be together for a long time. We expect good performances from him. Good luck,” he said.

Pedro Malheiro also emphasised that he is very happy with his move to the Claret Blue club, saying:
“I want to thank everyone who contributed to this opportunity and to my transfer. I am a player who tries to give 100 percent of myself in every game I play. Here too, I am aware of the expectations the club has of me. I am aware. With the club’s goals for this year, no one should doubt that I will give my all in every game to achieve these goals. “I am very happy to be here and to have this opportunity.”
It has also been reported that Pedro Malheiro will wear the number 79 jersey.
