This time, the SCT for gasoline and diesel will increase
According to Soszcz news, the PPI growth rate for January-May 2024 was 17.87%. The PPI data for June, which TurkStat will release on July 3, will also determine the rate of increase in the fixed SCT for fuels.
For the first five months of 2024, the PPI increased by an average of 3.35 percent per month. If this average increase occurred in June, the six-month PPI increase would be 21.82 percent.
Even if the PPI continues to rise, the fixed SCT amount will increase by 2.06 TL for gasoline and 1.93 TL for diesel. If the VAT, which was raised by 2 percentage points to 20% last year, is added, the tax increase will be 2.47 TL for gasoline and 2.32 TL for diesel.
Currently, the fixed SCT amount is 9.45 TL per liter of petrol and 8.86 TL per liter of diesel.
