According to a new weather forecast from the Meteorological Directorate, temperatures will remain 5 to 10 degrees above the seasonal average across the country. Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Ozaseki warned of the extreme heat.

“According to the weather forecast report of the General Directorate of Meteorology of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, it is estimated that temperatures across our country will continue to be between 5 and 10 degrees. In southwest Marmara and the northern Aegean, winds of 40-60 kilometers per hour are expected on the coast and 60-80 kilometers per hour in the highlands. Our people need to be more vigilant and cautious against possible fires and other adverse effects in the forests, which are the lungs of our country,” Ozaseki said on his social media account.

According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Directorate, it will be partly cloudy at times in the north and east of the country, very cloudy at times in the southwest, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected in the central and eastern Black Sea coast (except the Black Sea coast). Rain is expected in Samsun, Artvin, Gaziantep and the eastern coast of Mugla, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy or sunny.
