Twenty years after the fan-favorite drink was released, Taco Bell is celebrating Baja Blast with freebies and a new turquoise-colored delicacy to tantalize your taste buds.
Mountain Dew Baja Blast was developed exclusively for Taco Bell, and since its launch in 2004, the tropical lime-flavored soft drink has become a frequent addition to many customers’ orders.
“We’re incredibly proud that Taco Bell and Baja Blast have become such a synonymous and iconic duo,” Taco Bell chief marketing officer Taylor Montgomery said in a statement. “We’re celebrating this exciting milestone with our passionate Baja fans and can’t wait to share even more amazing experiences, innovations and perks.”
The love Taco Bell customers have for Baja Blast has not gone unnoticed, with Mountain Dew announcing plans to continue adding more Baja Blast options to Taco Bell menus this year.
“We’re constantly inspired and fueled by our fans, which drives our urge to deliver groundbreaking innovations and special offers to thank those who support us, from our die-hard fans from Day One to the new consumers who continue to join the fandom every day,” Mountain Dew vice president of marketing JP Bittencourt said in a statement.
