Reigning champions Italy threw in the towel in the last 16 round of EURO 2024, a disappointing result for an Italian team that had reached at least the quarter-finals in the previous four tournaments.
The Sky Blues reached the quarter-finals of EURO 2008 and 2016, the final at EURO 2012 and won the EURO 2020 championship.
