The final match of Group A at EURO 2024 was an exciting one, with Switzerland facing Germany in Frankfurt.
The opening goal for Switzerland against Germany was scored by Dan Ndoye in the 28th minute. 90+2. At that moment, Niklas Füllkrug appeared on the German stage, the name that gave the team a draw.
A goal in the 90+2 minute broke the tie, putting Germany ahead of their opponents on seven points and finishing top of their home competition in Group A. Switzerland, unbeaten in the group, advanced to the next round in second place with five points from three matches.

A decisive intervention from Schar in the second minute saw Ilkay Gündogan receive a pass from Musiala and move in behind the defence, denying him a chance, sending the ball for a corner.
In the 17th minute, while the Swiss defence was fending off a German attack from the left wing, Andrich received the ball outside the penalty area and fired a long-range shot into the back of the net, but after a positional review by VAR, a foul was awarded on Musiala for moving forward, and the ball was not counted as a goal.

Germany were dangerously attacking in the 50th minute when Musiala’s shot was disallowed by Sommer after he had made inroads into the penalty area, but when the ball was returned Ilkay’s shot went wide.
