According to the Meteorological Directorate’s assessment, the country will be partly cloudy in the southeast of Marmara, inside the Mediterranean Sea, in the north of Central Anatolia, inside the Black Sea and in the north of Eastern Anatolia. Localized showers and thunderstorms are expected in Anatolia and around Afyonkarahisar.
Rainfall; locally heavy rains are expected in the areas around Artvin, Erzurum, Kars, Ardahan, Bolu, Cankiri and north of Ankara. Winds; strong northerly winds (40-60 km/h) are expected in southwestern Marmara and along the northern Aegean coast.

Temperature: Temperatures across the country are above the seasonal normal (3-7 degrees) and are expected to continue to rise.
Winds: mostly from the north, south and west along the Mediterranean coast and southeastern Anatolia, weak to moderate at times and strong at times (40-60 km/h) in southern Marmara. North and Aegean coasts.
Heavy rainfall warning: Locally heavy rainfall is expected around Artvin, Erzurum, Kars, Ardahan, Bolu, Cankurli and north of Ankara, so extreme caution should be exercised for possible adverse effects.

Acom’s warning to Istanbul
Temperatures in Istanbul are expected to remain 3 to 6 degrees above the seasonal average until July 28th.
The Capital Region Municipal Disaster Management Agency (AKOM) warned people not to spend too much time in the sun, especially between 10am and 4pm, and not to drink a lot of fluids.
At midday, Istanbul residents, especially the elderly, pregnant women, children and those with illnesses such as asthma or heart failure, were urged to avoid going into sunny environments.

In Central Anatolia it will be partly cloudy at times, with localized showers and thunderstorms in the north. Localized heavy rainfall is expected around Çankırı and north of Ankara. Ankara 34°, Çankırı 34°, Eskişehir partly very cloudy, 32° with localized showers and thunderstorms, Sivas 33°.

In the Aegean Sea, the risk of heat stroke will be the highest throughout the week. Strong northerly winds will bring some cooling, but it is not advisable to go out in the sun at midday. Temperatures will reach 33°C east of Afyonkarahisar, 38°C in Denizli, 38°C in Izmir and 40°C in Manisa, with localized showers and thunderstorms.

The relative humidity will be very high again in the Mediterranean. It will be cloudy in parts, with scattered showers and thunderstorms inland. Temperatures will be 36°C in Adana, 33°C in Antalya, 33°C in Hatay and 35°C in Isparta.

In the Black Sea, short periods of rain are expected, mainly inland. Localized heavy rainfall is expected around Bor: Bor 30°, Duzce 34°, Sinop 31°, Zonguldak 31°. In the central and eastern Black Sea region, localized showers and thunderstorms are expected inland in Rize and Artvin. Localized heavy rainfall is expected around Artvin: Artvin 35°, Samsun 31°, Travzom 30°.

Localized showers and thunderstorms are expected in the northeastern part of Eastern Anatolia. Localized heavy rains are expected around Kars, Ardahan and Erzurum. Temperatures will reach 27°C in Erzurum, 27°C in Kars, 37°C in Malatya and 30°C in Van.
High temperatures continue in southeastern Anatolia: Diyarbakir 41°C, Gaziantep 41°C, Syrt 40°C, and Şanlıurfa 41°C.
