SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A Snohomish County man is accusing a food delivery driver of burglarizing his home over the weekend.
“It completely shatters your sense of safety,” said the victim, who asked not to be named.
He said the thieves broke into his secluded property in the Lord Hill area near Monroe.

“I think they got scared and ran away. I can see one of them staring straight at the camera,” he said.
What’s even more shocking to him is that the incident happened just after the food delivery driver had left his house.
“He said how nice my house was and what a beautiful place it was and stuff. I said ‘thank you’ and I got some food and said goodnight,” the victim said.
The camera captured the three men arriving in separate cars within an hour of delivering the food to his workshop, which is about a third of a mile down his driveway and not visible from the road.
“So I started watching the cameras to see who was in that car,” he said.
He said he thought it was probably one of his employees, but then he saw people rummaging through his workspace.
“I basically drove directly to the location and they were already gone,” he said.
Within minutes, the thieves had made off with about $1,000 worth of tools.
When asked how certain he was that the delivery driver was involved in the theft, he said: “I’m almost certain. If I had to put a number on it, I’d say 99 per cent.”
He says he’s currently working with sheriff’s investigators.
“The sheriff’s office says there are reports of an increase in crimes relating to delivery drivers.”
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said they cannot definitively link the two vehicles but are investigating.
