Ayşe Ateş, the wife of former Urucu Oçaklal Chairman Sinan Ateş, who was assassinated in Ankara on December 30, 2022, said death threats continue and asked why no action has been taken against Burak Bekiroğlu, who made the threats.
Ayse Ateş published a statement on her social media accounts saying, “Enough is enough! My Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunç, Minister of Interior Ali Elikaya! They are carrying out the same process for me as they did for my husband Sinan.” “The other day, Ateş,” said our country’s President Recep, “I called Tayyip Erdoğan. After this call, our country gave me two armed guards. While Erdoğan was receiving me and my daughters, I told the president that there were guards, but thinking about it, I was worried that these people would not point their guns at the state police.”
“Why has Burak Bekilooglu not been asked to make a statement?”
Prime Minister Ayse Ateş said that a person named Burak Bekiroğlu posted about the assassination and that he was the target, saying, “I call the attention of all ministers, a person named Burak Bekiroğlu has named and revealed to the public who gave the orders. He targeted me and threatened me for this heinous murder that took place in broad daylight in the center of Ankara,” he said, slandering me and my wife, Sinan Ateş, as members of FETO. My wife, Sinan Ateş, is asking why her previous accusation that she instigated the murder has not been accepted as a report and why she has not been asked to testify. Why has she not been asked to testify as a witness? ” he said.
“We are tired of living in fear of being killed at any moment.”
Ateş, who wanted Burak Bekiroğlu’s work to be accepted as a report, continued:
“Dear Ministers, I have repeatedly reminded you: two and a half years ago they started this process for my murdered husband, Sinan Ateş, discrediting him with the slander of FETO, open threats on social media and assassination in the middle of a war.” Dear Ministers, don’t you see what’s going to happen? He is not afraid of the security forces or justice. Call him and listen to him. Ask for evidence of his claims.
If you have any evidence at all regarding me, Sinan, and the allegations he made regarding this assassination, let me present it. Otherwise, do whatever is legally required. We are tired of the insinuation posts, the insults, the slander. We are tired of living in fear of not knowing when we will be killed. Now we can say, “Stop it!” Say it. Please. Don’t let another “Red Monday” happen in this country. “Don’t leave my children orphaned.”
Stop messing around!
Dear Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunci, @yilmaztuncDear Minister of the Interior, Ali Yerlikaya @AliYerlikaya !
“They are carrying out the same process against me as they did previously against my husband, Sinan Ates,” he said in a phone call with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
