Ice Cream & Sandwich Window Like List
I’m a fan of Central District bakery Temple Pastries Like List, so I was excited to find out earlier this spring that they were opening an aptly named walk-in window called Ice Cream & Sandwich Window, serving two of my favorite food groups: soft serve ice cream and sandwiches. After working out some hiccups during their soft opening phase, the spinoff officially had its grand opening today, serving vanilla bean soft serve and vegan strawberry sumac sorbet topped with rainbow sprinkles, housemade biscuit crumbles, or a small Temple croissant. Sandwiches include the breakfast sandwich (grilled egg, sausage patty, and white American cheese on toasted Temple milk bread with an option for hickory sauce) from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily, and the Italian hoagie and chopped cheese sandwich from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.

Frelard Tamales Like List and El Sueñito Brewing Company Like List
Since opening in 2015, queer-owned, community-focused Frerad Tamales has been a Seattle favorite for its lovingly handcrafted tamales made from family recipes using the finest ingredients. Last year, owners Osvaldo Hernandez and Dennis Ramey opened an outpost in Bellingham with El Suenito Brewing Co. Like List, Washington’s first gay-Mexican brewery. This week, they announced on Instagram that they’re preparing to open a joint taproom and Mexican restaurant in Fremont in the coming weeks. A job listing on the company’s website reads, “The taproom will offer El Suenito Brewing Co. beers brewed at the company’s headquarters in Bellingham, Washington, as well as a selection of tequila and mezcal cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. The kitchen will regularly serve up Mexican dishes representative of our family’s culture and traditions, in addition to a menu of Frerad’s Tamales. The Fremont location will seat over 80 people and be open to all ages, with an adult and 21-and-over designation. The taproom will function as a hybrid of counter service and table service, with a takeout window as a key feature for online and takeout orders.”
