SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History has hired Brian Storr as its new Chief Financial Officer and Rosina Garcia as its new Director of Education.

The Santa Barbara Natural History Museum is proud to announce the addition of two accomplished professionals to its dynamic team: Brian Storr, a seasoned finance professional, and Rosina Garcia, an innovative leader in education and research. Their extensive experience and dedication to community enrichment align perfectly with the Museum’s mission to inspire curiosity and stewardship of the natural world.
Chief Financial Officer Brian Storr
Brian Storr joined the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History in May with more than 25 years of financial and operational experience in the transportation, communications and publishing industries. He most recently served as vice president of finance and manufacturing for ABC-CLIO in Goleta. Brian holds a BA in Political Science from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. His passion for education and community service is evident from his years of volunteering with AYSO and his commitment to youth development.
Director of Education Rosina Garcia
Rosina Garcia became Director of Education at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History in January of this year. She holds a BS in Geosciences and an MA in Science Education and has extensive experience in research at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and teaching middle and high school science. Rosina’s commitment to strengthening education programs, including creating Birch Aquarium’s first bilingual summer camp, reflects her passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists and conservationists.
