Celebrity chef Jamie Gwenn and Nicole Hurstie, founder of Cobalt Events and celebrity event planner, are teaming up to create Orange County’s first culinary event, “RELISH, a Food Wine & Spirits Experience.”
This exclusive inaugural event will take place from Friday, August 23rd through Sunday, August 25th. It will bring together some of the country’s leading celebrity chefs, master sommeliers and spirits authorities, including Tyler Florence and Scott Conant, to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind, special weekend experience. The three-day event will see guests celebrate top-notch cuisine and lifestyle through a series of one-of-a-kind experiences, including intimate cooking demos, winemaker seminars, spirits tastings, cheese master classes, pastry enlightenment and more, interwoven throughout the weekend. RELISH is proud to partner with the James Beard Foundation, the only event in Orange history to do so.
Partnering with the County and the James Beard Society, guests can expect spectacular views and sophisticated coastal comfort at the VEA Newport Beach Hotel, the event’s headquarters.
This inaugural event is the brainchild of Jamie Gwenn, a celebrity chef and 25-year multimedia veteran best known for her television and syndicated radio shows. Gwenn, who lives in Orange County, is a certified sommelier, public speaker, and author of seven cookbooks. Her culinary talents have appeared on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay and Cutthroat Kitchen, Bravo, HGTV, The Talk,
MasterChef, Million Dollar Listing, etc.
“Bringing this first-of-its-kind dining experience to Orange County marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the region’s culinary scene,” said Chef Jamie Gwenn. “We envision RELISH becoming an annual event that not only showcases the incredible talents of our chefs and sommeliers, but also creates an unparalleled gathering for foodies and culinary enthusiasts. This event will set a new standard and I hope RELISH becomes the most anticipated culinary celebration for years to come.”
Tickets can be purchased for individual events or as part of a VIP package. The weekend will kick off with an opening night cocktail reception on Friday, August 23rd, followed by an unforgettable private dinner with celebrity chef Scott Conant.
On Saturday, guests can enjoy a variety of events, including an Soirée with Chef Tyler Florence, a Chocolate 101 Master Class with Chef Gail Gund, a Vodka + Caviar Master Class with Mixologist Tony Abuganim, and a Master Class with Winemaker Bob Cabral.
