According to the latest assessment made by the Meteorological Directorate, the weather will be very cloudy in the northern and inland Aegean Sea, inner western Mediterranean and Troslar region, Central Anatolia (except Yozgat and Şüşvas), inner western Black Sea, Northeast, around Balikesir, Bursa, Beçek and Artvin in Eastern Anatolia, inland areas of Trabzon and Rize with localized showers and thunderstorms, and partly cloudy or slightly cloudy in other places.
Temperatures across the country are expected to be between 3 and 10 degrees above seasonal norms.
Heavy Rain Warning
According to the latest assessments, localized thunderstorms are expected to intensify in the eastern central Aegean and northwestern central Anatolia from midday onwards, and caution is advised against adverse effects.

“There is a risk of localized heavy flooding due to thunderstorms in the eastern central Aegean and northwestern central Anatolia from midday on Friday,” Prime Minister Prof. Dr. Orhan Shen said in a statement on his social media account. Temperatures will rise further tomorrow and remain at 4-8 degrees Celsius over the weekend, “still expected to remain above normal,” he said.
“A heat wave is coming on Wednesday.”
Prof. Dr. Shen said, “A heat wave has been hitting the western region since Wednesday. Excessive heat in the Aegean, Mediterranean and southeastern regions, including Marmara Istanbul, appears to be posing health risks.”
Shower warning
The Ankara governor said localized strong thunderstorms were expected across the province from midday and warned that people should exercise extreme caution for possible adverse effects.
A statement released on the governor’s social media accounts read: “According to data from the Meteorological Directorate’s Ankara Regional Forecast and Early Warning Center, localized strong thunderstorms are expected across Ankara from noon today. Please be cautious and cautious against possible negative events.”
Yellow Code Alarm in ESKİŞEHİR
A “yellow” code localized severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Eskişehir. According to the assessment, localized severe thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon in the districts of Seyitgazi, Han, Çifterel, Mahmudiye, Sivlihisar, Günüz, Beylikova and Mihalçik in southern and eastern Eskişehir. The report includes warnings to be cautious of negative factors such as flooding, inundation, lightning, localized hail, sudden strong winds during rainfall, short-term storms and transport disruptions.
