President Erdogan and Bahceli end their talks

The meeting between President Erdogan and Bahceli came after the statement on political normalization. AKP President Erdogan delivered his message on the People’s Alliance at a party group meeting today.
President Erdogan made the following statements:
“We walk shoulder to shoulder with our comrades and alliance partners, the Nationalist Movement Party. We will not say goodbye to attacks. We will not tolerate these attacks and will not let them pass. We know very well what they are trying to do,” the lice said, as they achieve it with their bloody FETO killer pen.
Both Mr. Bahçeli and I are clearly aware of the attacks. Their problem is not the MHP, but the People’s Alliance, which is Turkey’s guarantee. We will not fall into this trap. The People’s Alliance, which was established on the night of July 15 against the coup plotters, remains in a strong position. We want the CHP to stop its old bad habits.”
First meeting after normalization tense
The talks between the AKP and CHP, which began in May for the first time in eight years in what was dubbed an act of political normalization, have sparked new debate.
In addition to the two parties, there were also overlapping assessments of the process from political parties, especially the MHP, the İYİ Party and the DEM Party. However, Devlet Bahçeli’s statement that “the alliance between the AK Party and the CHP is the wish of the MHP” and subsequent comments sparked a debate about the People’s Alliance.
This will be the first time President Erdogan and President Bahceli meet face-to-face during the political normalization discussions.
The two leaders met after the elections on April 29 and May 10, 2024.
