A ‘plus size’ woman has been slammed on social media for posting very specific travel tips.
Kirsty Leung is a 30-year-old UK-based woman who regularly shares videos about her travel experiences, calling herself a “plus-size person” and has 460 followers on her account. It has more than 10,000 likes.
She recently shared tips on how to get a second seat on a plane for free with her approximately 130,000 TikTok followers.
In one of her most popular videos, she talked about “one of the most daunting things about flying as a plus-size person.” That’s because you don’t know how much space there is in economy seats, she said.
Liang advised others to ask the flight attendant at the gate if there are “two empty seats next to each other”.
She said it doesn’t work on all flights, especially those that are full, but it’s worth asking.
In another video, Leanne shared a video of herself sitting across three seats on a plane.
She included additional tips in the caption, such as looking for airline policies that don’t include neighbors, checking in later to see additional available seats, and choosing a seat in a less desirable part of the plane to give you a better chance of finding an empty seat in your row.

She also said, “For years I’ve had to find ways to increase my chances of getting an empty seat next to me because it’s so hard to reserve a second seat on airlines.” He also said.
The travel inspiration content creator and blogger pointed out in another TikTok video that while purchasing a separate seat is the most recommended option, it’s not always possible for a variety of reasons.

“This costs a lot of money (especially if you have to pay for seat assignments) and not everyone can afford to do this,” she said.
She also said airlines tend to overbook flights, so you might be given a second seat.
TikTok users flocked to the comments section of her most-viral travel video, which received more than 6.6 million views.
