Who: Mars Petcare US announced a voluntary recall of 315 bags of Pedigree® Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Veggie Flavor Dry Dog Food. Why: The recall was initiated over concerns that the dog food may be contaminated with metal fragments. Where: The recalled dog food was sold in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
Mars Petcare US has issued a recall of 315 packets of Pedigree® Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Veggie Flavor Dry Dog Food due to concerns that the product may contain metal fragments.
The recall involves 44-pound bags of PEDIGREE® Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor Dry Dog Food with lot code 410B2TXT02 and a best-by date of March 4, 2025, sold at Walmart stores in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
Mars Petcare advised consumers to stop using the products, monitor the behavior of pets who may have ingested the recalled products, and contact their veterinarian “if they have any concerns.”
“Metal fragments present in the bag may be harmful to your pet’s health,” the Pedigree dog food recall states.
No pet injuries or illnesses linked to Pedigree dog food recall
Mars Petcare said there have been no reports of pet injuries or illnesses related to the recall and that no Pedigree or other Mars Petcare products are affected or being recalled.
