“We condemn the police violence against Anadolu Agency photojournalist Fatih Aktash, who was covering a pro-Palestinian demonstration in New York, USA.

We reiterate that Anadolu Agency is proud to convey international concern for the oppressed Palestinian people.
“We take this opportunity to convey our wishes for a speedy recovery to the family of Anadolu Agency and AA photojournalist Fatih Aktash,” he said.
what happened?
AA photojournalist Fathi Aktash was subjected to severe beatings by the New York Police Department (NYPD) while covering a pro-Palestinian demonstration in New York, USA.
Aktash was subjected to police violence while attempting to film police violent intervention against protesters during protests in Brooklyn.
A video recorded by a journalist showed Aktash trying to take photos of the protests being violently pushed away by a police officer, causing him to fall hard to the ground.
Regarding the incident, Aktash said, “I was trying to record my intervention in the demonstration when a police officer pushed me back so violently that I fell backwards on the ground to avoid damaging the camera I was holding in my hand and punched myself. My elbow hit the ground hard,” he said.
