COLUMBUS, Ohio — New foods are one of the highlights of this year’s Ohio State Fair.
Those looking to try a variety of foods can save money with $3 Thursdays if they visit on both Thursdays of the fair, July 25 and Aug. 1. Visitors can purchase mini versions of fair favorites, including funnel cakes, fries, mini doughnuts, lemonade, corn dogs, bourbon chicken and fried treats, all for $3 each.
The Ohio State Fair runs from July 24 to August 4. More information about the fair can be found here.

The latest cream puff flavor is inspired by the fair’s staple, cotton candy. Beginning on July 24, the first day of the fair, visitors will be able to order the cotton candy cream puffs.
According to the announcement, the fair-themed cream puffs feature a traditional cream puff exterior filled with blue custard and dusted with powdered sugar.
Velvet Ice Cream has also partnered with the state to offer special ice cream flavors, and fair-goers can get caramel popcorn ice cream while viewing the butter cow and calf sculptures inside the dairy building.
The Ohio Poultry Association (OPA) is offering several new items for sale at the Taste of Ohio Pavilion & Beer Garden, including turkey wings, each weighing about a pound, and speaking of sweet treats, a new cheesecake sundae will also be on offer.
OPA is also offering six new deviled egg flavors: Espresso, Maple Bacon Crunch, Buffalo Chicken, Dill Pickle, Hot Dog and a featured flavor for 2024, which OPA will announce soon.
