Official Gazette: New regulations for driver’s license examination
Disabled instructors may take their instruction and exams in a separate vehicle owned or provided, depending on the criteria and their disability.
During the opening procedure, if the necessary documents from public institutions and organizations do not arrive due to the convenience of the relevant authorities, an additional period of one month will be given, and an additional period of 20 days will be given to correct the deficiencies noted in the examination report.
Presenting the new type of Republic of Turkey ID card is mandatory for enrollment in the course.
To avoid any hassle on the ground and to prevent fraudulent activities, we take a photo of the trainee upon registration and transfer it to our system to verify the photo and information as belonging to the trainee. Invoices issued to trainees are recorded in a special MTSK module to prevent any financial fraud.
If you fail the first four tests at the end of your driver training course, you can transfer to another course to avail yourself of the right to take the next four tests.
Those who pass the written test but voluntarily decline registration or fail the driving school test will be exempt from the written course and test if they take a repeat course within three years.
Those on active military service, pregnant or giving birth, or suffering from an illness that requires time-consuming treatment may freeze their exam eligibility and use their remaining exam eligibility at the end of the exemption period.
The application test time will be extended to 40 minutes
Trainees who pass the test will receive a driver training certificate which will be issued electronically via the e-Government system.
Exams will be held between 07.00 and 21.00 instead of 07.00 and 18.00, and each trainee will have 40 minutes for the mock exam instead of the 35 minutes.
The exam will be held on a route determined by lottery at a meeting held by the Exam Executive Committee on the morning of the exam day.
If a trainee fails to get between the cones in one move in a reverse parking application, he or she will be allowed to make the same move again.
Those who meet the conditions of Article 85, Paragraph 2 of the Road Traffic Act and wish to receive an “A1 class” license will be granted an “A1 class” license if they pass more than half of the driving school application test. The number of driving instruction hours set out in the regulations.
The age of instruction and test vehicles is calculated to be one year from the first calendar year from the date of manufacture at the factory.
If someone else takes the exam on your behalf, you will not be able to take the exam for five years.
Any person who uses threats, insults or violence to obstruct or impede the examination duties of the Commission or other officials, takes or attempts to take an examination in place of another person, or causes another person to take or attempt to take an examination in his or her place, and who attempts to do so, will be barred from participating in any examination held within the ambit of Act No. 5580 for a period of five years.
Driving school exam application and assessment committees will be able to test 10 students in a day instead of 12.
If there are not enough Driver Training Course Examination and Evaluation Committee members for a certification class in which testing is conducted within a district, allocations for this certification class may be made from other districts.
The day before the test, the Examination Executive Committee will carry out the necessary inspections of the route along which the driving school’s test will be held, to check whether there are signs in the applied area that will facilitate driving for the trainees, and whether there are any conditions along the route that would hinder the conduct of the test.
During the lessons and exams, the automobile division practices turning in narrow spaces using up to three hands and driving on auxiliary roads, while the motorcycle division practices turning in narrow spaces.
Within the scope of the rule changes, members of the Steering Training Course Examination Application and Evaluation Committee and Steering Master Instructors will undergo in-service completion training no later than two years to ensure adaptation to the changes made.
Some of these changes will take effect in six months.
