Selahattin Yarnuz, a gardener from Eksiliyurt district, Ortaca district, Muğla, claimed that FTB, 24, and BD, 18, the daughters of the woman he was living with, ran away from his house on May 17 with money. He called Müge Anlı on May 29 to find them. He was participating in the program.
The two girls who were reported missing appeared on the same programme yesterday. The FTB said BD and the other siblings had been sexually abused by Selahattin Yarnuz, but claimed the two girls had slandered them and given them sleeping pills.
“You four will be my wives.”
During the show, FTB explained that they had been sexually abused by their stepfather for years, saying: “This man has been raping us since we were 14 years old. He would attack us with a butcher knife and beat us. He would say, ‘I will skin you, all four of you will be my wives. This was done right in front of my mother’s eyes.”
Selahattin Yarnuz denied the allegations.
The prosecutor’s office accepted the information provided by the girls in the program as a report and took action. Police detained Selahattin Yarnuz at her home yesterday and, after a medical examination, took her to the Ortaca district police station under full guard.
When citizens found out that Jarnus was being taken to the police headquarters, they gathered in reaction, and those who wanted to lynch the suspect were stopped by a police team.
After police proceedings, Selahattin Yarnuz was handed over to the court where he was arrested, while his roommate Fitnat Ertekin was released.
