In Izmir’s Karabaglar district, a 15-year-old girl was murdered by another 15-year-old boy, allegedly her ex-boyfriend.
The incident occurred yesterday evening in the Arup Hasan area of the district.
According to the information received, 15-year-old Hacer Çağla Çetinalp visited her father İ.U.Ç’s house with her ex-boyfriend, 15-year-old UEY.
A short time later, the father, Jiushi, who had left his children at home and gone out, returned home to find his daughter lying on the floor covered in blood.
Stabbed 120 times
Following the call, numerous police officers and a 112 emergency medical team were dispatched to the address but it was revealed that Chettinarpu died with nearly 120 stab wounds in different parts of his body.
The body of 15-year-old Hasel Cagla Cetinalp was taken to the İzmir Forensic Institute’s morgue after being examined by the prosecutor.
Arrested
Murder suspect UEY, who fled the scene, was arrested by police.
“I stabbed him because he cheated on me”
In his initial statement, the suspect was known to have said he stabbed his ex-girlfriend, Ms Heysel, because she had cheated on him, and then took the knife and Ms Chettinarpu’s mobile phone while fleeing.
It was also found that UEY had thrown Chettinarpu’s mobile phone into a dustbin on his escape route.
As part of the investigation into the incident, UEY and the girl’s father İ.U.C. were detained by the team.
UEY (16), was processed at the police station and then transferred to the court where he was arrested. Çetinarp’s father, İ.U.C., was released by the prosecutor’s office.
