A large list of potential members of the national team to take part in the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024), to be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, has been announced.
The TFF statement said 35 footballers were included in the candidate squad for Crescent and Stars, led by coach Vincenzo Montella.
Montella’s decision means nine players will be omitted from the national team’s large squad and a 26-man squad will be notified to UEFA on June 7.
The shortlisted team includes the following names:

Camp Program
The players invited to the national team candidate squad will begin training in three stages. The first group of players who have finished playing for their clubs arrived at the TFF Hasan Dogan national team facility in Riva today to begin training.
The second group of players will join the camp on Wednesday, May 29th after playing for their clubs this weekend. Finally, Arda Güler and Salif Özkan will join the camp in Italy after the UEFA Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.
Considering the limited number of footballers in the first phase of the camp and in accordance with the technical team’s principle of providing an opportunity for complete rest to footballers who will play their last match with the team over the weekend, ahead of the national team camp, goalkeeper Berke, who is in the senior national team pool and plays for Trendior 1st division winners Eyupspor, will take part in the national team training from 24 to 29 May.
The A-Nationals will assemble in Istanbul with their full roster on May 29th and will continue training in Riva until June 3rd, when they will fly on a Turkish Airlines flight to Bologna for a special match against Italy.
Two friendly matches are planned
The national team will play two warm-up matches before the championship.
The Crescent Star team will play away games against Italy on June 4th and Poland on June 10th.
The Turkey vs Italy match will take place at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium, which also hosts the matches of the Bologna FC 1909 team playing in Serie A, and will kick off at 22:00 TSI.
The Crescent Stars will be training in Opalenica until the special match against Poland, and will depart from Borgona to Poznan the night after the match against Italy. On June 9th, they will travel to the capital, Warsaw, for the match between Poland and Turkiye.
The Poland vs. Turkey match will take place on June 10 at PGE Narodowy, the country’s largest capacity football stadium, and will kick off at 9:45pm GMT.
The senior team will hold a training camp with the Umit team from June 5 to 11. The senior team and the Umit team will play two training matches against each other, one in Italy and the other in Poland.
The Crescent and Stars will travel from Poland to Germany on June 11 and continue their preparations at a facility in the town of Barsinghausen, which they will use as their base camp.
Located in Group F of the championship
The national football team will compete in Group F of EURO 2024.
The Crescent Star group includes the Czech Republic, Georgia and Portugal.
