Naci Gölül assessed the collapsed buildings in Küçükçekmece: “I can’t even think about it.”
Hey everyone, a 3-storey building collapsed in Küçükçekmece. This area is the most likely to be affected by an earthquake. When an earthquake occurs, the ground interacts with seismic waves, testing all structures above it. If a building naturally collapses today, I can’t imagine what will happen if an earthquake occurs tomorrow…

“Ladies and gentlemen, a three-storey building has collapsed in Küçükçekmece, the area that is likely to be hit the hardest by the earthquake.

What really scares me is the statement by the respected mayor of the metropolis, who said that he is ready to work with government agencies in Istanbul to prepare for an earthquake in Istanbul, but what makes me think is that there is still no agreement, no serious, planned and sustained effort has begun.
“The people of Istanbul should take note of this and exercise their right to monitor, control and demand with love, if necessary, for the safety of their lives.”
