The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the division rival Chicago Cubs, 4-2, on Friday night. In the win, Brewers rookie Jackson Chaulio thrilled the crowd with a grand slam home run that was Milwaukee’s only run of the night. The homer came in the fourth inning off veteran right-hander Jameson Taillon.
Entering the season as the No. 2 prospect in all of baseball, Chorio made unique history and accomplished something that hasn’t been accomplished in over 20 years.
According to Sarah Langs of MLB.com:
At 20 years and 109 days old, Jackson Chorio is the 10th youngest player to win a Grand Slam since 1900, with only those older:
June 3, 1964 Tony Conigliaro: 19 years, 148 days
June 11, 1954 Al Kalain: 19 years, 174 days

After struggling early in the year, the 20-year-old is starting to find his footing in the big leagues, batting .241 with nine home runs, 32 RBI and eight stolen bases. He’s currently sporting a .676 OPS and has become a regular for the Brewers, who currently lead the NL Central.
This is the second time he’s made history this week, the last time he did so by hitting an inside-the-park home run.
The Brewers and Cubs will face off again on Saturday afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for 4:10 pm ET.
Cubs left-hander Justin Steele will face Milwaukee right-hander Tobias Myers, who is 5-2 with a 3.12 ERA while Steele is 0-3 with a 3.08 ERA.
The Cubs are currently last in the division.
