A press conference was held at the Ministry of Defence (MSB).
“28 terrorists neutralised in one week”
“Our Turkish Armed Forces conducted 28 continuous and comprehensive operations in accordance with the requirements on the ground under exceptional and unpredictable circumstances,” Defense Ministry Press and Public Relations Adviser Major General Zeki Aktürk said regarding the counter-terrorism operations. “1,355 terrorists were neutralized, of which 723 were in northern Iraq and Syria,” he said.
Akhturk also spoke about operations in the Operation Claw area of northern Iraq:
“As part of the search and selection operations carried out in houses seized by terrorists from defenseless civilians in the villages of Dergere and Miska, as well as in the Hakurk and Metina regions, a large number of anti-tank weapons, multiple rocket launcher systems, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, Dochka machine guns, infantry rifles and their ammunition, hand and smoke weapons, bombs, homemade explosives, anti-personnel mines, radios, thermal binoculars, hand binoculars, artillery and mortar ammunition of various diameters, and various materials were seized.”
Amount of military service paid
Adviser on Press and Public Relations at the Ministry of Defense, Major General Zeki Aktürk, also provided information on the amount of military service payments, adding:
“The ‘Financial and Social Rights’ circular was issued by the Ministry of Finance, according to which the amount of paid military service for the second half of 2024 was 217,871 liras and 4 kurş. The application process for paid military service began on July 8, 2024.”

“The lock will close.”
Department officials said Operation Crow Rock was unusual, unpredictable and fast, and continued successfully as planned, sharing the following:
“The locks are closing. Terrorist organisations have realised that their awaited end is near and have started spreading disinformation.
“You can’t escape because terrorist organisations are waiting until the very end.”
The bloody terrorists, who are burning forests, using local people as shields and trapping settlements with homemade explosives, are resorting to dark propaganda and trying to mislead international public opinion to create the perception that these acts were committed by our country and the Turkish army. These are futile efforts. “The terrorist organizations will not be able to escape the consequences that await them.”
