Heavy rain warnings issued for nine states
It was reported that heavy rains are expected in the northeast of the country on Monday, July 8, 2024. The Meteorological Directorate said in a statement: From noon on Monday, July 8, 2024, locally heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected in the southern and eastern parts of Bayburt, Erzurum, Erzincan, Kars, Ağr, Ardahan, Van, and in the northern parts of Bingöl and Muş provinces, which will cause flooding, thunder, and “people should be cautious and watch out for adverse effects such as landslides, transport disruptions, strong winds during rainfall, and localized hail.”
