Luka Doncic could make a lot of money in two years.
The Dallas Mavericks star was named to the All-NBA First Team for the 2023-24 season on Wednesday, marking his fifth straight year on the First Team.
But while the 25-year-old guard is in the Western Conference Finals with a shot at the NBA Championship, another win could be on the horizon.
Having earned All-NBA honors in each of the past two seasons, Doncic will be eligible for the largest contract in NBA history if the Mavericks extend him in the 2025 offseason, via ESPN’s Bobby Marks .

Doncic, the No. 3 overall pick in 2018, is currently signed to a five-year, $215 million designated extension from 2022-23. The final year, 2026-27, is a player option.
With a potential supermax extension, that number would jump to five years and $346,338,300 in total, or $69,267,660 per season on average. He would be eligible for the contract even if he doesn’t make an All-NBA team next season.
Below is a year-by-year breakdown of that backloaded contract.
2026-27: $59,713,500 2027-28: $64,490,580 2028-29: $69,267,660 2029-30: $74,044,740 2030-31: $78,821,820
Doncic will be 32 in the final year of his contract.
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown currently has the highest contract in the league. He signed a five-year, $300 million extension in July 2023. However, the contract does not take effect until next season.
