Statements made by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, and the Quds Seriyeh, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, reported information about clashes with Israeli soldiers in Gaza.

Israeli soldier killed in close combat
A statement from the Qassam Brigades said close-quarters clashes took place between Israeli soldiers and Qassam resistance fighters as they entered the Shuqayeh neighborhood east of Gaza City.
It was also reported that Israeli soldiers had been targeted by Qassam members, resulting in casualties, and an Israeli military helicopter landed in the area for evacuations.
The statement used the following expression: “A Merkava IV tank was targeted with a Yasin-105 rocket in Szczecin.”

Al-Quds Sereia used F-16 missiles as booby traps
A statement from Al-Quds Seriah said numerous rockets were fired at the Gaza border city of Sderot and other locations.
The statement said an Israeli soldier entered a building that had been booby-trapped with powerful explosives and detonated the explosives, killing him.
