The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-0 on Wednesday night. With this loss, the Dodgers fell to 33 wins and 19 losses. The Diamondbacks are 24-26 after the win.
Despite the loss, Shohei Ohtani recorded one hit in four at-bats, resulting in a batting average of .354. The Dodgers played in 52 games this year, but Ohtani played in 50 games, missing several games due to past issues. And through his first 50 games, he joined a very rare group in baseball history.

Walker and Mays are Hall of Famers, and Betts is on track to be in the Hall of Fame, making him a great addition to Ohtani. He was looking to fulfill a 10-year, $700 million contract in the offseason, and so far he’s fulfilled that role. In addition to his .354 batting average, he has 13 home runs, 34 RBIs, and 13 stolen bases. He has an OPS of 1.068.
Ohtani has already won the American League MVP award twice in his career and will surely be in contention to win the National League’s version again this year.
The Dodgers have Thursday off, but will travel to Cincinnati to face the Reds on Friday night.
