After a devastating fire at Khalil’s Kitchen at 880 Main St. in Brockton, owner Rudy Alves isn’t giving up on his culinary dreams and is working on opening a food truck.
“Even when it seemed like everything was falling apart, our dedication did not allow us to sit back and rest on our laurels. This is a testament to true determination and resilience,” Alves said.
Patrons can expect to enjoy their famous homemade fries, fried chicken, steak and shrimp smothered in delicious sauces. For now, Alves owns the truck and is renovating and perfecting it for his customers. He said he’s excited to open and can’t wait to show the area what he has in store for the future.
The food company is currently waiting for approval from the Board of Health to officially open its food truck, but in the meantime, customers can visit the company’s Instagram page to book upcoming catering events.
Make your way to West Bridgewater and enjoy the tempting fare of the Berry Buster food trailer, which serves soul food for the soul, including crispy fries, double smash burgers, toasted chicken Caesar wraps and fried chicken sandwiches. The food trailer is located at 765 West Center S. in West Bridgewater and is open every Monday from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Brockton Beer Company is once again hosting “Free Fry Friday” in Brockton, offering free fries to everyone simply because they were voted best fries in a contest recently run by Enterprise. The company is happy the city voted for them and wants to say thank you with some deep-fried, crispy russet potatoes. The event will be held on Friday, July 19th from 4pm to 9pm.
Shovel Town Brewery will be turning down the lights from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, to get into the summer festival spirit. Visitors can enjoy grilled food specials, snow cones, bouncy houses, face painting and bring their swimsuits to take part in a water balloon fight.
