The afterglow of yesterday’s meeting between former Chairman of the Turkish Party Meral Akşener and AKP President Erdoğan continues.
The fact that Akşener’s first political meeting since taking office as president was with President Erdogan and that the content of the meeting has yet to be explained has raised various suspicions.
Koray Aydin said, “Explain.”
Finally, İYİ Ankara Party deputy Koray Aydın invited Akşener to clearly and clearly explain the theme and content of the meeting.
“It is also thought-provoking that the meeting took place at a time when constitutional discussions are underway,” Aydin said.
Wiur Poiras: It is not binding on our party.
Regarding yesterday’s meeting between Akşener and Erdoğan, Party Secretary-General Ugur Poiras said, “This meeting is in no way binding on the objectives, goals and vision of the Cīyi Party Corporation.”
In his assessment of the meeting with Politiyor’s Altan Sancar, party Secretary-General Ugur Poyraz Cighi noted that the Erdogan-Akşener meeting was announced by the General Directorate of Communications.
Evaluating this detail, “This means that both parties want the meeting to be known to the public,” Poiras said, adding that the Jiyi Party also learned about the meeting from the media.
“It should be explained who made the request, what was discussed, that is, what its objectives and results were,” Poiras said, adding that “the meeting is in no way binding on the objectives, goals and vision of the legal Jihad Party, as an entity.”
Poiras concluded the meeting by saying, “I would like to express to all party members who heard about this meeting, the contents of which are still unknown to us, although our chairpersons and the empowered committees were not aware of it,” and “we wish to express our surprise and disappointment to all party members who heard about it.”
what happened?
Former Doği Party leader Meral Akşener met with AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the palace yesterday.
While the meeting was at the top of the political agenda, allegations following the summit also became a hot topic.
During the meeting, Akşener is alleged to have made a request to Erdoğan regarding his son. He allegedly conveyed his request to President Erdoğan to appoint his son, Fatih Akşener, to the Paris embassy.
Chirai and Altairi claim
“We have received information from very serious sources that there is a demand for someone from the Akşener family to become an ambassador,” former IYU Party deputy Aytun Çilai said during a live broadcast on Soşç TV last night.
Journalist Fatih Altaïr made similar claims in a broadcast on her YouTube channel.
“Akshener wanted someone from his family to be appointed as an ambassador with the title of ambassador. Efforts on this have been going on for the past few months. It is said that meetings on this topic are being held,” Altaili said.
Claiming that the request had been made by Akşener’s son, Fatih Akşener, Altair said:
“There are rumors that his son is a graduate of Galatasaray High School and there are rumors in Ankara that the Paris embassy is wanted for him.”
İYİ Party denies vice president’s claims
Also on the agenda yesterday was allegations that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was offered the post of “vice president” after a meeting with former CIA chairman Meral Akşener.
Regarding the allegations, a Zii party official said, “No such offer was made to Akşena, and even if it was, she would not accept it.”
Koray Aydin’s harsh response to Akşener
As the afterglow of the meeting continued, a breaking statement was issued by İYİ Ankara Party member Koray Aydın.
Asking Akşener to clarify the subject and content of the meeting, Aydin said, “It also makes me think that the meeting took place at a time when constitutional discussions are underway.”
Kolay Aydin’s statement is as follows:
A day has passed since the meeting between Ceylon Party Founding Chairman Meral Akşener and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the palace.
Neither Akşena nor Erdoğan made any statements about the subject or content of the meeting.
The public first learned that the meeting was taking place through an announcement by the Presidential Communications Bureau, rather than from party sources.
There was not even a “congratulatory” visit to the newly elected Musavat Dervisoğlu, but Akşener’s visit as the “former chairman of the İYī Party” made the İYī Party’s corporate identity a direct party to the meeting.
This is because, in addition to being the founding chairperson of the Ziya Party, Meral Akşener is still a member of the Ziya Party’s founding committee and therefore also a member of the Ziya Party.
The only comment on the issue was a brief assessment by Chairman Delvishor when asked about it on a television program he attended a few hours after the meeting.
Contrary to what some party members who have quickly adapted to the process have said, “This meeting will not offend the party base,” the meeting will hurt the conscience of millions of people who love the IYI Party unless a satisfactory explanation is provided soon.
If the contents of the meeting are not revealed in a way that does not raise suspicion, the perception that it was an attempt to approach the palace or reach an agreement with the government will be tacitly accepted, which will create a major rift in the party’s base.
It is also thought-provoking that this meeting took place at a time when constitutional debate was underway.
The Jiyi Party foundation, one of whose most important founding objectives is to oppose the anti-democratic and profit-driven policies of the AK Party government that impoverish the people and empty the country, and to oppose one-man rule, will never approve this conference.
The picture of reconciliation and softening with the government will never be accepted in the eyes of the Jiyi Party members, who are a noble rebellious movement against the AK Party government to defend the rights and law of the oppressed people; the usurped people, the people condemned to hunger and misery.
In this regard, I ask Mr. Akshener to clearly and unambiguously explain the subject and content of the conference to the members of the ZII Party and to our country.
