Over the next few days. A big effort to end hunger in central Iowa took place in Des Moines this morning. Des Moines Performing Arts is joining the national tour of STOMP and partnering with the Food Bank of Iowa to do this. The cast of STOMP is in Iowa for a show that starts this week. The cast members worked at the food bank distribution center, creating music in their own style using objects they found lying around. It helps you see everything in a different way. It can become an instrument. For example, with eight broomsticks, you can entertain people in just 10 minutes. You can make 10 minutes of music out of just the broomsticks. It helps you see the possibilities all around you. If you donate food on the food bank’s website, you’ll get $15 off your tickets to tomorrow night’s debut performance.
