When the state fair comes to town, what are you most looking forward to spending your money on? Sure, there are carnival rides and games, but that’s not the most fun part of attending the fair.
The highlight of the fair is always the food, and if you say otherwise, you’re lying to yourself. You know what, you’re prepared to wait in incredibly long queues to get a taste of freshly fried, greasy and delicious funnel cakes.
Maybe a deep fried Twinkie will satisfy your craving.
In fact, I have never tried this, I have only ever put Twinkies in the freezer and eaten them as a frozen dessert.
What about pickles? This one might take some getting used to, but I’ll eat fried pickles any day. I’m the kind of person who will eat a whole pickle right out of the jar, so don’t judge me.
Unfortunately, none of these are popular foods at the Illinois State Fair.
