Bahçeli: AKP and CHP should form an alliance, our commitment to a people’s alliance will continue
Bahçeli also made a statement regarding the Sinan Ateş case: “The Nationalist Movement Party will definitely attend the hearing of the case on July 1, 2024, and will deal with the dark games and the additional elements of these games of the Turkish judiciary.”
Here is what Bahceli said:
“It is observed that after the local elections on March 31, it is hoped that a new equation with many unknowns will be established in Turkish politics based on the search for normalization and easing between political parties, which is an essential institution in a democracy, because everything is happening right before our eyes in our country.”
As long as the Nationalist Movement Party is benevolent, constructive, path-breaking and favorable to the state and the country, I have no doubt that I will not feel the slightest discomfort in rationally and logically evaluating additional or special dialogue on the issues. Polarization and conflict have no end or conclusion. It is the primary and primary duty of a political party to accept the demands and problems of our country with good sense, engage in dialogue, seek and achieve solutions. Of course, I have never had the will or desire to say anything or oppose this.
“The Traffic encounter transformed MHP into a targeted campaign.”
However, it is inexplicable that a flurry of contacts and meetings, at the top of the agenda, has turned into a smear campaign targeted at the Nationalist Movement Party. As the mystery of new developments, which we follow carefully, vigilantly and with great attention, unfolds, the existence of different calculations and different expectations, fuelled from the bottom up, can be observed and taken into account.
The Nationalist Movement Party in particular is constantly being accused on television screens, social media platforms and in newspapers of viewing the environment of normalisation and easing with a squinting eye, suspicion and even harm.
Sinan Ates murder case
The widespread assassination of the reputation of the nationalist idealist movement through murder cases for which prosecutions are being prepared, the constant polishing of some names that accompanies this assassination, and their being taken from door to door, screen to screen, which is not a quest for rights and law but an attempt to poison the atmosphere of peace and tranquility of mind.
The Nationalist Movement Party will be sure to attend the hearing of the case on July 1, 2024, and address the dark game and its add-ons in the presence of Turkish judicial authorities.
It is clear that domestic and foreign interest groups, partners of destruction and forces opposed to political stability, especially the opponents of the People’s Alliance, are engaged in uninterrupted activities aimed at denouncement of our Party and ensuring the construction of a crossroads.
Our love is Turkiye and the glory of our membership is the great Turkish nation. Whatever we do and say, it is in the interest of Turkiye and the Turkish people.
“Once we stop normalizing, we’ll do what’s necessary.”
In this context, if the Nationalist Movement Party is perceived and described as an obstacle to the sustainability of the ordered atmosphere of normalization and detente, and if a broad alliance is being formed on this issue, then our responsibility is to take all kinds of risks, make sacrifices for our country and our nation and to do what is necessary with peace of mind.
Considering that the waters are constantly muddied by disgruntled elements within the AK Party, it is the Nationalist Movement Party’s sincere wish and hope that a broad alliance will be formed between the AK Party and the CHP, with the support of other political parties and elements of the Six-Party Table. Nevertheless, our commitment to the People’s Alliance will continue with determination, as will our support for the Turkish Grand National Assembly’s legislative proposals.
Moreover, we cannot compromise on, backslide or abandon the People’s Alliance or its principles and goals.
Everyone should know very well that, no matter what the circumstances, we support and stand by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and we will never leave him alone.
“We respect the meetings held by our respected President, the network of relations he has established, the bilateral contacts he has undertaken, and to further reassure his states, we will act again, with disclaimer, to take the initiative free of charge and share this choice with our beloved people,” the statement said.
