Some of you may be picky about what information appears in your App Store history. I’m one of those people, so I understand that feeling. It’s easy to hide apps you’ve downloaded, but subscriptions aren’t so easy. If for some reason you want to hide your App Store subscription history from your iPhone, follow these steps:
Your subscription history will eventually be cleared
Unfortunately, you can’t delete content from your subscription history. If you want to remove an expired or canceled subscription, your best bet is to wait for it to disappear, as inactive subscriptions disappear from your App Store history. Although Apple doesn’t impose any official restrictions, they will eventually disappear from your history.
Hide Subscriptions from Your iPhone’s App Store History
However, there is one way to hide App Store subscriptions from your iPhone: if you created a subscription using a particular app (Spotify, for example), you can hide it from the list of downloaded apps.
Depending on how the app (and Apple) handles subscriptions, they may also be hidden from your subscription history. Unfortunately, there’s been no official word from Apple on how this will work either.
Apple is known for either being very inventive or very stubborn when it comes to how they handle user experience in their apps, and unfortunately, with the App Store, it’s mostly the latter.
The same thing will happen with subscription history – a simple hide button or slide-out menu similar to what’s available in the app would be sufficient, but currently all users can do is hide it from the app list or wait for the expired subscription to disappear.
