The World Economic Forum (WEF) has released a list of the top 10 countries in 2024 where tourists can broaden their life experiences through memorable moments.
According to a CNN report, Europe tops the list of countries chosen as the best places to travel.
The Switzerland-based organisation took into account a range of criteria to determine the names of countries, including services, natural resources, infrastructure and standard of living.
The United States has consistently topped the WEF’s list of best tourist destinations, with the think tank highlighting the country as a “mature tourism market with basic services for tourists.”
In Europe, Spain came out on top. The report called the continent a “resilient destination with strong intra-regional travel flows” and gave it high marks for its rail connectivity.
A strong economy is another factor attracting tourists.
In fourth place was France, which is already attracting attention from around the world as the host city of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The list was based on the power of European passports.
The report also included Asia, with Japan coming in third on the list. According to CNN, more than 3 million tourists are expected to visit Japan each month in March and April of 2024.
Meanwhile, China took eighth place and earned a spot for tourists.
