An investigation has been launched against Diamond Tema, who was involved in an altercation with pro-Islamist Asloun Tok on the YouTube channel “Yer6.”
Following this development, Diamond Tema went live on his eponymous YouTube channel, where he announced that he would be staying overseas and the reasons why.
“I won’t let you experience that kind of pleasure.”
Diamond Tema said there are people who want him dead, adding: “Next time I come to Turkey, if they want, they can arrest me, detain me, take me to court and testify. It doesn’t matter, but… I didn’t want to go through this week.”
This case is on the agenda and everyone wants me dead and dumped, but I don’t want pictures of me with my hands cuffed behind my back being shared on the Internet. I don’t want them to be happy. I don’t want them to say, ‘Did you see that? Look what happened.’ ‘I’m not going to let you have that pleasure,’ he said.
Diamond Tema said he would be able to return to Turkey “once things have calmed down” in four or five months after the incident. “Then no one will care, but I will not lose to them on this issue.”
“I can’t hear anything from the other party”
Diamond Tema continued his speech, calling for the support of the opposition parties.
“There is no voice of opposition, and I will defend secularism and the republic against a man who says Sharia should be introduced in the country.
I will protect this country.
Today they will waste and silence me; tomorrow it will be your turn.”
