Hamas News: Israeli soldier taken prisoner
Hamas’ military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said an Israeli soldier had been captured during an operation in Jibaliya in the northern Gaza Strip, though an Israeli army statement denied any soldiers had been kidnapped.

The Hamas movement’s militant wing, the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades, announced that they had taken new prisoners from Israeli soldiers ambushed during an operation in the Gaza Strip.
“Just before evening on Saturday, Qassam fighters carried out a complex operation to lure Israeli soldiers into a tunnel inside the Jibaliya refugee camp,” Al-Qassam spokesman Abu Ubeideh said in a video statement.
Abu Ubeideh said they ambushed a group of Israeli soldiers in one of Chibariya’s tunnels, noting that there was a close-quarters clash with the Israeli soldiers and that reinforcements were hit with explosives.
