More truth – Four people, two of them children, were detained after images taken at a wedding in the Kurtalan district of Sylt were shared on social media. Five people were detained during house searches in Batman and Saat and taken to the Saat provincial police. After the procedure here, the five were sent to court and charged with “propaganda of a terrorist organization”. The statements of AT and ST, 17, Edanoor Tashkesen, 19, Phyllis Tashkesen, 42, and Turin Tashkesen, 21, were taken up by the prosecutor’s office and sent to the Sylt Criminal Court. The case was settled with a request for arrest. The court granted house arrest to Phyllis Tashkesen and issued arrest warrants for the other four.
In its arrest decision, the court stated that “guerrilla-related songs listened to and sung by members of the organization and their sympathizers contain words and statements praising the members of the organization and are called guerrilla. They are called guerrilla, sung and accompanied by music,” and considered as evidence posts from a troll account called “Agance Mukhbir.” (MA)
