SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Onondaga County Health Department has released inspection reports for restaurants inspected between June 16th and June 22nd.
Food services that passed and failed hygiene inspections from June 9 to 15
A food service received a failing inspection.
Little Caesars – 4713 Onondaga Boulevard, Syracuse (Western Lights Plaza)
Zero Food Services failed an inspection this week.
Little Caesars
The restaurant received six violations, none of which were serious.
Improper cleaning, washing, or sanitizing of equipment and utensils: The inspector found that the fan guards on the walk-in refrigerators were not clean, as were the bottom shelves throughout the kitchen.
Inadequate sanitation and maintenance: Inspectors found a handwashing sink at the rear of the facility, with inaccessible items stored inside the sink.
Inadequate insect/rodent control: The inspector found two dead mice in monitoring traps, one under a dry storage shelf and one near a hot water heater. Mouse droppings were found on a lower shelf in the rear half of the kitchen.
Inadequate insect/rodent control: The inspector found that boxes were stored on the floor in the back half of the kitchen, providing a hiding place for mice, and that the wall near the three-bay sink was not fully repaired, with drywall leaning up against the wall, also providing a hiding place for mice.
Improper construction and maintenance of the physical facility: Inspectors found mouse droppings on the floor in the back half of the kitchen and food deposits along the edges.
Under equipment, especially near water heaters and flour storage/dough stations.
Improper construction and maintenance of the physical facilities: Inspectors found that the air return vent in the front lobby was covered in dust.
Many locations passed their inspections between June 16th and June 22nd.
