FOND DU LAC – Food trucks are flocking to Fond du Lac to help plan lunch, dinner and dessert for Memorial Day weekend.
The Fondi Food Truck Festival, sponsored by the Friends of Lakeside Park, will be held on May 26th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lakeside Park’s Oven Island and surrounding areas.
Here’s what you can expect:
Food trucks feature favorites like fond du lac
The park will host about 36 food trucks offering a variety of food including barbecue, tacos, crepes, and ice cream.

Fond du Lac area trucks include Chameleon, Big Blue Yummy, Mira Vanilla Crepe, Say Cheese Curd Company, and Fanaz on the Fly.
The various trucks also include Kickin’ Ash Barbecue, Caribbean Taste, Tasty Thai, Romero’s Taco Truck, Inferno Heat Hibachi, Legendary Gyro, Zuas Fresh Egg Rolls, Cookie Box, and Freeze-Dried Candy Truck Tria Frog Treats.
The Fondy Softball Association will provide soda, canned beer and carbonated drinks.
Memorial Day Activities: The Fond du Lac community celebrates Memorial Day with parades, ceremonies, and meals. Here’s what you need to know:
Enjoy classic rock with live music entertainment
Fond du Lac classic rock and country band The Groove Katz will perform from noon to 4 p.m.
New family activities for 2024
Among the activities offered throughout the park, two newcomers join the festivities: Jolly Giant Stilts and Balloon Twisting Animals.
Other children’s activities include bounce houses and face painting.

Activities also include demonstrations by community groups
Animal lovers can meet representatives from Fond du Lac Humane Society, Critter Junction Small Pet Rescue, Sandi Paws Dog Rescue, and Whisper Hills Clydesdales Special Needs.
Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue will also be participating in the festival, as well as the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office with a dive trailer and armored vehicle, and the Fond du Lac Police Department with a patrol car and radar. Includes a throwing game.
Friends of Lakeside Park will be offering $1 water and 50/50 raffles throughout the day.
