“These guys are rich bandits.”
According to Bosler Dunyasu, Kaya Sabancı, who made a statement after being released from hospital, said: “They are not street bandits, they are rich bandits. We were beaten,” he said.
“‘You came here?’ And he hit me in the eye.”
Describing the incident, he said:
“When I went to open a restaurant, I said to the person next to me, ‘Hello, Mustafa,’ and Vedat Asti saw me and said, ‘Are you here?'” He said and hit me in the eye, but no one came to my rescue. “That would be an even bigger insult for me, but if he gave me such instructions, I would turn away and not go in.”
“I could have died there.”
Kaya Sabanci: “I have a cracked vein under my eye. I have a fractured cheekbone and I’m due for surgery in a couple of days. If I’m 72 years old, would you punch a 25-year-old? What does it take?” “I could have died there,” he said.
