Germany won the qualifying match for EURO 2024 against Hungary 2-0, with goals from Jamal Musiala in the 22nd minute and Ilkay Gündogan in the 67th minute giving Germany a 2-0 victory.
Germany, who beat Scotland 5-1 in their opening group match, overcame Hungary’s obstacles to increase their points tally to six. As a result, Germany have qualified for the round of 16 with one game remaining in the group.
Hungary lost 1-3 to Switzerland in their first match and also lost to Germany, meaning they are yet to qualify for Euro 2024.
Ilkay Gündoğan provided an assist and scored a goal
Germany took the lead in the 22nd minute. Ilkay Gündogan received a pass from Musiala inside the penalty area, but lost the ball to Orbán in front of six passes. The Hungarian footballer lost his balance and fell, and Ilkay again stole the ball diagonally to the left and passed it to Musiala behind. Despite Fiola’s intervention on the line, Musiala’s shot shook the net and it was 1-0.
The home side doubled their lead in the 67th minute, when Mittelsat, who joined the attack from the left wing, crossed the ball and Ilkay Gündogan, who was well positioned in front of six passes, took a decent shot and smashed it into the net to make it 2-0.
Germany won 2-0, increasing their points to six.

Germany defeated Scotland 5-1 in the first game and won the second game 2-0.
Musiala increased his tally to two.
Germany’s 21-year-old star Jamal Musiala has now scored two goals at Euro 2024. Musiala (21 years and 119 days) became the third-youngest player to score in consecutive European Championship matches, having previously achieved this feat with England’s Wayne Rooney (18 years and 241 days) and Hungarian Ferenc Bene (21 years and 114 days).
