Dylan and Engin Porat sentenced to 27 years in prison
The investigation is complete
Social media phenomenon Dilan and Engin Polat were arrested and jailed in November last year after prosecutor Ahmet Çolak of the Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Department of the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Prosecutor’s Office completed an investigation.
Crimes indicted
The prosecutor general indicted 16 suspects, including Dylan and Engin Porat, and sought sentences ranging from 13 to 27 years in prison for “laundering the value of assets resulting from crimes within an organizational structure,” “laundering the value of assets within an organizational structure,” “organizing crimes and illegal activities within an organizational structure,” “membership of a criminal organization” and “illegal gambling.”
He will appear before a judge
The prepared indictment has been sent to the Anatolian Criminal Court of First Instance No. 2. If the indictment is accepted, the defendants are expected to appear before a judge within the next few days.
