DUBAL – Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinul Özdemir Göktaş announced that the second phase of disbursement of the Eid Al-Adha Family and Youth Fund will be brought forward and the payments will be deposited into the account as of today.
Minister Göktaş said a total of TL 180.45 million would be paid to 1,203 couples who applied in this direction, benefited from pre-marriage education and consulting services, and officially married in May.
Minister Göktaş said that he established the Family and Youth Fund to support and strengthen the family system and protect young people from social risks, adding that his organization has always encouraged family formation and set family strengthening as its main goal.
Minister Göktaş stressed that the project helps young people take a healthy step in the marriage process and build a happy family life.
Minister Göktaş recalled that applications for the project in question began to be accepted from February 15 via the “www.aile.gov.tr” address, and announced that they provided interest-free loan assistance of TL 150,000 with a maturity of 48 months. Couples whose applications are approved will be given a grace period of two years.
Minister Göktaş said that as of today, 9,992 couples have applied to the Family and Youth Fund, and 2,976 eligible couples have been provided with pre-marriage education and counselling services.
Göktaş said:
“We are conducting pilot implementation of the project implemented under the President’s vision in the earthquake zones of Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaras, and Malatya’s Islahiye and Nurdaci districts. In our support, we participated in training programs and deposited the first payments into the accounts of couples who were officially married between April 15 and 30. We are bringing forward the second phase of payments for Eid al-Adha and will deposit them into the accounts as of today. “A total of TL 180.45 million will be paid to 1,203 couples who had their official weddings in May.”
Göktaş stressed that the Family and Youth Fund will make payments in stages to couples who apply and meet the conditions, and said the aim is to expand the assistance to the whole of Turkey in future.
