DOVER-FOXCROFT — The sidewalks of East Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft are about to be transformed into a vibrant canvas for creativity and travel through time and space. Join us on Saturday, June 29 for a unique event that combines artistic expression with a celebration of local history. An art walk and chalk art display will begin at 10 a.m.
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The sidewalks of East Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft are about to be transformed into a vibrant canvas for creativity and journeys through time. On Saturday, June 29, we invite you to join us for a unique event that combines artistic expression with a celebration of local history.
Art Walk and Chalk from 10am to 3pm. Unleash the artist within you and take part in a community sidewalk chalk art walk. Stations will be set up along East Main Street and colorful chalk will be provided, but feel free to bring your favorite washable art supplies. Let your imagination run wild and create stunning murals, playful designs or historical scenes that reflect Dover-Foxcroft’s heritage. This event is open to kids and artists of all ages and abilities, making it a great activity for families.
Local History Walk. Take a step back in time with a midday guided local history walk led by Chris Mars while you stroll and create. See interpretive signs throughout East Main Street highlighting the area’s fascinating past. Learn about the buildings, businesses and people that shaped Dover-Foxcroft into the vibrant community it is today.
Artisans demonstrate local craftsmanship. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet and support talented local artisans as you explore the Art Walk. Witness the creation of beautiful pottery, handmade brooms and the fascinating process of spinning wool from Angora rabbits. These demonstrations offer a glimpse into the heart and skill behind traditional crafts.
Get into the spirit of Dover Foxcroft. This event is a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family. Leave your own colourful mark on the town as you explore the artistic energy and rich history of Dover Foxcroft. Join us and share your creations on social media using #DoverFoxcroftChalkWalk.
